Ireland's pubs have been forced to close at various stages throughout the course of the pandemic here.
So-called wet pubs have seen the brunt of the closures, but all forms of hospitality including restaurants and gastropubs have spent a great deal of time with their doors shut.
And as as result some members of the public have taken it upon themselves to replace their local with a "shebeen".
There has been a surge in garda raids of these locations in recent months, and we've collected a summary of some of them below:
1. Co Kildare - Friday, January 1
Gardai interrupted a packed New Year's gathering in a Kildare shebeen, raiding the premises where 15 revellers were celebrating the start of 2021.
Officers seized quantities of liquor – as well as drink optics and spirit dispensers – after raiding a shed-cum-pub at around 8.30pm.
Some 15 people were caught red-handed in a suspected illegal drinking den when gardai arrived on the scene.
The names of those present were taken during the raid.
And pictures of the premises show a well-stocked, comfortably furnished establishment – with "all the trappings of a traditional pub."

Officers took details of all those present as well as making the seizures.
A Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Kildare executed a search warrant of a suspected shebeen premises operating close to Kildare Town, yesterday evening Thursday 31st December, 2020 at approximately 8.30p.m.
"Gardaí carried out the search and met with approximately 15 people socialising in a shed at the rear of a house. The shed had all the trappings of a traditional pub.
"Gardaí took details of all persons present within the shed, seized the intoxicating liquor and the drink optics and spirit dispensers.
"Investigations ongoing and a full investigation file will be forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions for direction."
2. Co Meath - Friday, December 18
These pictures show inside a Meath shebeen that was busted by Gardai on Friday, December 18 with up to 30 people inside.
Officers in Navan stormed the homemade pub to find a big crowd inside "socialising and consuming intoxicating liquor" while not social distancing.
The shebeen was one of a number of spots found countrywide that were breaching the Covid-19 guidelines.
Gardai found "wet pubs" operating as normal as well as gastropubs not serving food and not adhering to guidelines.
Investigations into all breaches were ongoing with files sent to the DPP.
A garda spokesperson said: "In all cases where breaches of Public Health regulations have been identified An Garda Síochána will submit files to the Director of Public Prosecutions seeking advices as to how to proceed.
"In addition to potential criminal breaches by Licensed premises owners, An Garda Síochána wants to remind every person of their social and personal responsibility not to frequent premises or engage in activity which is likely to contribute to the increasing spread of the Covid-19 virus.
"The Covid-19 pandemic remains a public health crisis and a real threat to everyone, particularly the most vulnerable in our society, the virus is still spreading, it is still leading to serious illness and death.
"An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to all citizens to comply with Public Health Guidelines and Regulations in order to continue to save lives."
3. Castleblaney, Co Monaghan - Saturday, November 27
Gardai revealed towards the end of November that they had raided a suspected shebeen in a quiet Irish town.
The incident happened at around 9pm on Saturday, November 27 in the town of Castleblaney, Co Monaghan.
Officers carried out the search on a private premises as part of Operation Navigation.
They carried out the investigation as part of alleged breaches of liquor licencing legislation.
The search, carried out under a warrant, saw gardai seize "substantial quantities" of alcohol, as well as beer taps and other bar equipment.

While all of those present were identified by gardai, no arrests have yet been made.
A garda spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing and a file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
"The COVID-19 Pandemic remains a public health crisis and An Garda Síochána continues to appeal to all citizens to comply with Public Health Guidelines and Regulations in order to continue to save lives."
4. Causeway, Co Kerry - Saturday, November 27
Gardai raided a Shebeen which was a fully operational bar complete with a a pool table, dart board, arcade games and an 80 inch flat screen television.
The raid took place in Causeway, Co. Kerry, just after 8pm on Saturday, November 27.
The bar had a number of beer taps, along with a fully operational cooler room with gas lines and cooler to operate the taps
Gardai carried out the raid as part of Operation Navigation.

A garda spokesman said: "As part of Operation Navigation, Gardaí conducted a search of a suspected Shebeen premises operating in Causeway, Co. Kerry, yesterday evening, Saturday 28th November 2020.
"Shortly after 8pm yesterday evening, Gardaí conducted a search under warrant of the suspected Shebeen premises and located a fully operational bar.

"The bar featured a number of beer taps, along with a fully operational cooler room with gas lines and cooler to operate the taps.
"The premises was fitted with a number of tables, chairs, pool table, dart board, arcade games and an 80 inch flat screen television.
"A file will now be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions."
