Ireland legend Paul McGrath issues plea to help find missing son

Republic of Ireland legend Paul McGrath has issued a plea to find his missing son, Paul Jr.

McGrath took to Twitter tonight to ask for help finding his son: "Please retweet. Looking for social media help please.

"Has anyone seen my son Paul in around Hale, Manchester, London or any airports in the past few days.

"Police have been informed but we are very concerned and someone somewhere might have spotted him".

Fans have flocked to offer support and help, with one saying: "Let’s hope he’s found safe and sound really soon Paul. Fingers crossed for you."

Paul is one of the footballer's six children, and has gone missing in the United Kingdom.

The former centre-back was recently praised for his appearance on the Tommy Tiernan Show, where he spoke about alcoholism and why he returned to live in Ireland: "I decided to come back to Ireland, find somewhere to live and have a quiet life, try to be happy”.

McGrath played for Ireland from 1985 until 1995, earning 83 caps and enjoyed spells playing with Manchester United and Aston Villa.
