Ireland injury news: John Egan and Matt Doherty set to be available for Denmark showdown

John Egan was feeling unwell when he came off in Sheffield United's convincing win over Burnley yesterday.

Blades boss Chris Wilder has ruled out an injury and said: "He's okay. He just didn't feel too well."

That is a boost for Ireland boss Mick McCarthy as Egan will be a first-choice centre-back in the all-important upcoming Euro 2020 qualifier against Denmark.

Matt Doherty's knee injury sustained in Wolves' 1-1 draw with Arsenal yesterday is not believed to be serious.

With skipper Seamus Coleman suspended, he is poised to start at right-back against the Danes.
