Ireland defender Shane Duffy linked with move away from Brighton

Shane Duffy has been linked with a move away from Brighton, with another Premier League club reportedly interested in the centre-half.

The Ireland defender has been out of favour at the Seagulls, starting just 12 Premier League games under Graham Potter this season.

And with the arrival of Joel Veltman at the club, it's unlikely that the Derry native will see much more first-team action in the upcoming season.

According to reports, fellow Premier League club West Ham United are interested in the 28-year-old as manager David Moyes looks to bolster his defensive options.

The Hammers avoided relegation this season, but find themselves short of defensive options heading into the brief summer break.

And Moyes could look to lure Duffy away from the seaside, with the pair previously working together at Everton - with Moyes handing him his debut at the age of 17.

However, Brighton have not formally put Duffy on the market and he remains tied down to the club until 2023.
