Ireland coronavirus map: All confirmed cases of Covid-19 so far

Coronavirus cases in the Republic of Ireland have increased by 255, officials confirmed on Thursday night.

This figure brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in Ireland to 1,819.

Ten more patients diagnosed with the disease in the Republic have died.

This brings the total number of deaths here to 19.

Data from the Department of Health shows that 25% of people who have caught the disease have been hospitalised - a figure of 340 cases.

The data breaks down the first 1,383 cases confirmed up to midnight on Tuesday, March 24.

The data identifies 66 clusters of the virus across the country involving 295 cases.

It shows the average age of confirmed cases has been 46 years old.

And 23% of confirmed cases have been healthcare workers.

Dr. Tony Holohan, Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, said: "We are only at the beginning of the curve.

"We need every citizen to heed the advice and measures put in place to protect all of us."

Dr. Ronan Glynn, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Department of Health, said restricting movement and following HSE advice will help you to protect your family and friends.

He said: "We are aware COVID-19 is impacting and reshaping daily life for everyone.

"We can see from the data that people are most concerned about their family and friends.

"If you look after yourself, restrict movement and follow advice, you will ultimately protect them.”
