Ireland camp upheaval extends to backroom staff as goalkeeping coach Steve Williams called in

Upheaval in the Ireland camp has branched out into Stephen Kenny's backroom staff ahead of the Bulgaria clash.

Dundalk goalkeeping coach Steve Williams has been called into action as Alan Kelly is not available for Wednesday's game.

The Ireland goalie coach did not travel from Cardiff to Dublin with the squad today after a week in camp in the UK.

It is understood that Kelly, who lives in England, took the opportunity to return home because of the recent increased risk of coronavirus.

Four of the Ireland squad have tested positive in the last week - Callum Robinson and Alan Browne before and after the England game and Matt Doherty and James McClean today.

Former Shelbourne goalkeeper Williams was a key member of Kenny's staff during his time with Dundalk.
