Ireland AM star Muireann O’Connell shares rare glimpse into life with fiancé

Virgin Media star Muireann O’Connell has given fans a rare glimpse into her life with her fiancé in some recent snaps.

Generally, the much-loved television presenter tends to keep her relationship off of her social media channels, often referring to her partner as “housemate” rather than sharing his name.

However, recently the Limerick native explained that her better half finally made it into her Instagram account after he discovered a genius hack.

Recently, Muireann posted a series of pictures detailing her busy life, including a pretty hefty paint job undertaken at a house.

In the snaps she was joined by both her fiancé and her mother Marie as they got to decorating a room.

The Ireland AM presenter captioned the pictures: “Marie hates my hair up so this is really gonna annoy her, and some other stuff”.

She also posted another picture of her “housemate” from his neck down, with a small bucket of paint tied around his neck which would stop him from constantly bending down to recover his paintbrush.

Impressed by the hack, Muireann shared it and wrote: “He makes it onto the grid for a hack. Deserved!”.

Recently the star also revealed that she is not a natural planner unlike her other half, whose plans, Muireann claims, are “better than any sleep aid.”

In her Irish Country magazine column, the star revealed that her partner is the planner in the relationship, as making long-term plans makes her feel like her head will explode.

She wrote: "I feel for my fella, I really do, but every time he talks about making plans - any sort of plans from holiday to wedding, broadband to DIY - I sometimes end up asleep on the couch.

"It’s better than any sleep aid I’ve ever tried."
