Ireland AM star Muireann O'Connell says a fan's comment on her body made her hit the treadmill

Muireann O'Connell is one of Ireland's most beautiful TV presenters, but even she faces uncomfortable comments about her appearance.

The Ireland AM host told her followers on Instagram that she has gone "back to the treadmill" after a comment she received from a viewer. Muireann posted a video of herself running on the treadmill and revealed why she was back in the gym.

The Virgin Media presenter wrote: "'A woman said to me the other day. 'it's you! I didn't recognise you. You look fatter on the telly'…Back to the treadmill it is!". While many would have taken offence to such a remark, Muireann seemed to see the funny side and said that the woman was "lovely" and "meant no harm at all".

Muireann has 104k followers on her social media and has always been admired for her honesty with her fans. She has admitted in the past that weight gain was "really getting her down" and that, regardless of size, it is something that can "affect everyone".

The broadcaster may have to deal with harsh comments from time-to-time, but that doesn't stop her sharing her incredible style with followers. Most days Muireann will share her work outfits and life outfits with fans, and she always looks amazing whether she's wearing a glamorous dress for the telly or a comfy oversized knit when she's chilling at home.
