Disney World warns guests that the “Twilight Zone Tower of Terror” ride might be “too terrifying for kids.”
There’s no word on what the little tykes made of a recent visitor from Chicago, who’s accused of slugging a Disney employee while waiting in line for the ride, according to an Orange County Sheriff’s Office report.
The incident happened about 8:45 p.m. on July 13, the report states. While in line, the 23-year-old Chicago woman became “verbally aggressive” when she and her group discovered they didn’t have a valid pass for the ride, according to the report.
The female employee — Disney, and the police report, calls them ‘cast members’ — then called for security.
“At the time, [the visitor] began pushing buttons on [the] ride podium,” the report states. The cast member then asked the visitor to stop, but she refused. The cast member pushed the visitor’s hand away. That’s when the visitor punched the employee in the face, according to the report.
The employee told sheriff’s deputies that the visitors “continued to yell profanities and record her with their phones.”
The employee, who had “minor swelling near her eye,” told police she didn’t want to press charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
The visitors were later removed from the theme park, the report states.
Disney has banned the Chicago woman from its parks, the company told the Orlando Sentinel.
