Iraqi parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi lauded on Monday relations between Baghdad and Riyadh, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
Halbousi, currently on a visit to Saudi Arabia, said that the Kingdom has played a great role in supporting his country’s fight against terrorism, specifically the ISIS group.
He made his remarks after holding talks with Shura Council Speaker Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh.
The two officials underlined the importance of bolstering bilateral ties in all fields.
Halbousi later held talks with Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir.
Earlier Monday, the Iraqi official had held talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
