
Iraqi President Barham Salih will visit Saudi Arabia on Sunday to discuss bilateral ties and cooperation and review developments in the region, his office said in a statement.
Salih's visit to the kingdom is part of a regional tour to several countries to boost bilateral ties and economic cooperation, noting that he concluded a short visit to Jordan on Thursday.
The Iraqi president had also visited the UAE and Kuwait earlier.
According to a statement by the Iraqi presidency, Salih "is scheduled to meet his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani and other Iranian top officials to discuss bilateral ties and cooperation, as well as the development in the region."
Salih will lead a delegation of ministers and advisors in his tour, the statement added.
