The Central Bank of Iraq announced the launch of the electronic collection platform for the Housing Fund.
The project will ensure that the fund completes all lending processes, it explained in a statement on Saturday.
It will enable bolstering government resources and their collection in a safe and transparent environment by relying on the infrastructure of payment systems and e-payment platforms provided by the Central Bank and its suppliers.
The project targets ministries and collection departments that gather revenues through bills and fees.
It will allow the Fund to automate all lending processes, adopt e-payment tools and cancel cash transactions, which in turn will help alleviate the burden on citizens by speeding up the completion of transactions and using payment platforms instead of personally visiting the Fund’s headquarters, the statement explained.
