MUMBAI: The Irani Cup fixture for the 2024-25 season, featuring Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai against the Rest of India from October 1-5, has been relocated from Mumbai to Lucknow, TOI has learned. As reported on September 6, the extended monsoon in Mumbai ruled the city out as the venue for the Irani Cup match.
Avasthi in Duleep team
Mumbai pacer Mohit Avasthi, who was their highest wicket taker last season (31 wickets in eight matches at an average of 15.74) and played a key role in their 42nd Ranji title win, has been selected for the remaining Duleep Trophy matches. He will play for India 'B'.
