India on Tuesday strongly criticised the attack on Fujairah that left three Indian nationals injured, terming the incident “unacceptable” and calling for an immediate cessation of hostilities as tensions linked to the Iran conflict continue to rise.
In an official statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said, “The attack on Fujairah that resulted in injury to three Indian nationals is unacceptable.”

New Delhi urged all sides to halt the violence, adding, “We call for immediate cessation of these hostilities and the targeting of civilian infrastructure and innocent civilians.”
Reiterating its longstanding position, India emphasised dialogue over conflict, stating, “India continues to stand for dialogue and diplomacy to deal with the situation, so that peace and stability may be restored across West Asia.”
The government also raised concerns over maritime security in the region, particularly the critical energy corridor, saying, “We also call for free and unimpeded navigation and commerce through the Strait of Hormuz in keeping with international law.”
Further, MEA also expressed its willingness to play a constructive role in easing tensions, adding, “India stands ready to support all efforts for a peaceful resolution of issues.”
Fujairah attack leaves 3 Indians injured
Three Indian nationals were injured after a fire broke out at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone (FOIZ) on Monday, following a drone strike reported to have originated from Iran, according to local media and UAE authorities.
Officials in Fujairah confirmed that the blaze was triggered by the drone attack, with civil defence teams responding immediately and continuing efforts to bring the fire under control.
The injured Indians sustained moderate injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment, reports said.

The Indian Embassy in the UAE had said it was in touch with local authorities to ensure medical care and welfare of those affected, stating on X: “Three Indian nationals have been injured in today's attacks in Fujairah. We are in touch with local authorities for ensuring adequate medical care and welfare of the affected Indian nationals.”
Meanwhile, the UAE Ministry of Defence said Iran launched four missiles towards different areas, of which three were intercepted over territorial waters while one fell into the sea. Local authorities have also urged the public to rely on official information and avoid circulating rumours.
The remarks come against the backdrop of heightened instability in West Asia, with fears of disruption to key shipping routes and broader regional escalation following recent attacks linked to the Iran conflict.
