An Iranian group calling itself the “Blood Covenant” has reportedly collected a large amount of money, more than $40 million, as a reward for anyone who assassinates Donald Trump. This information comes from the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which has been tracking the group’s actions and statements.
The “Blood Covenant” has set up a website to promote its goal according to Fox News. This website (that we will not link to) has a bold poster with Trump’s image inside a sniper’s crosshairs. Alongside the image, there is a call for donations, urging people to contribute money to what they describe as “helping establish stable peace.”
The group’s messages heavily reference religious texts, including a verse from the Quran that tells followers to “Strive with your wealth and your lives in the cause of Allah.” MEMRI believes this quote is meant to encourage jihad, calling on believers to dedicate their money and lives to the cause. This suggests the group is trying to justify the assassination plot by framing it as a religiously approved act.
Trump now faces something of a religious hit
This disturbing announcement from the “Blood Covenant” comes after recent major events, specifically powerful U.S. airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities. In the days following these strikes, there has been a clear increase in open calls for Trump’s assassination coming from inside Iran. These calls are not random but seem to be pushed by parts of Iran’s religious leadership. The claimed reason for these threats is an alleged warning from Trump that he would assassinate Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
Trump himself has denied this, saying he actually stopped such an action from happening. Despite his denial, the Iranian claims appear to have fueled demands for revenge against the U.S. president. The calls for Trump’s assassination are not just empty words; they are reportedly backed by serious religious rulings. In late June, several high-ranking Iranian ayatollahs issued fatwas, or religious orders, providing a religious justification for the threats.

A movement in Iran has allegedly raised more than $40 million to reward Trump's assassination, according to the Middle East …
These fatwas state that Trump deserves the same punishment as a “muhareb,” a term meaning an enemy of Allah and Islam. According to these rulings, such a person should be killed, and their blood is considered lawful to spill. This religious approval gives the threats significant weight. Additionally, the direct calls for Trump’s assassination are reportedly coming from many powerful figures within Iran’s government and religious institutions.
This includes Iranian regime officials, members of the Assembly of Experts (who are closely tied to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei), high-ranking clerics, teachers at the Howza-e Ilmiyya religious schools, and the regime’s well-known Friday prayer leaders. The involvement of so many influential voices shows that this incitement is coming from within the system, not just from fringe groups.
