Iran rejects Trump peace deal and vows never to agree with US leader

  • Iran has dismissed claims by President Donald Trump that diplomacy is back on track, saying that its military will "never come to terms" with him.
  • Trump reportedly offered Iran a 15-point plan to end the conflict via mediators, claiming Iran "want to make a deal so badly" and agreed to "never have a nuclear weapon."
  • Iran's main military command, through spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari, rejected the idea, questioning if the U.S. was "negotiating with yourselves."
  • Iran, meanwhile, has announced the opening of the Strait of Hormuz for "non-hostile vessels" that coordinate with Iranian authorities, aiming to alleviate market disruptions.
  • Concurrently, the Pentagon has ordered around 2,000 soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division to deploy to the Middle East.
