MIAMI _ The team flight typically would leave Miami International Airport at 3:30 p.m. In this case, on Sunday, the destination would have been Milwaukee, for the start of a three-game trip.
It arguably could have been one of the most intriguing trips of the season, going for a sweep against the Bucks at the start and then Jimmy Butler-T.J. Warren Round 2 at the end, with the previous meeting in Indiana showing that kiss didn't always mean make up.
These are the types of stories that now _ at least until the NBA shutdown is/if lifted _ will go untold.
And there were ample stories still to be told, even with the Heat already having effectively realized the goals of returning to the playoffs and coalescing with a new cast led by Butler.
So, as we wait, we begin our weekly look at what could have been, sort of a week in preview of games that will not follow.
