Ira Winderman: An analysis of Heat's then-and-now revival

MIAMI _ Among the developments that have led the Miami Heat to this second-half revival has been the development from within. And that has led to reassessment not only of the Heat's possibilities in the playoff race, but also of the previously questioned talent level on the roster.

With that in mind, a long-tenured NBA scout was asked this past week to answer a pair of basic questions about the components that have taken the Heat from 11-30 at midseason to something far more palatable.

Requiring anonymity as he prepared his evaluations for his own team, he acknowledged some perceptions have turned into a different reality, when asked what he thought of each player going into the season and what he thinks now.
