Ipswich Town vs West Ham United
18:08West Ham end their Premier League season with a 3-1 win over Ipswich. West Ham strolled to victory in this match as Ipswich struggled to create many meaningful chances, while West Ham controlled 59% of possession and were efficient in their goalscoring when they did create opportunities to secure the win. A late first-half goal from Ward-Prowse and second-half strikes from Bowen and substitute Kudus were enough to see the visitors victorious, while Broadhead’s equaliser early in the second half proved to be a consolation goal for the hosts. West Ham were well worth their victory, controlling possession from the off. They opened the scoring in the 43rd minute as Bowen intercepted a back pass before squaring to Ward-Prowse to place his shot into an empty goal. Ipswich equalised through a Broadhead strike in the 52nd minute before Bowen re-established West Ham’s lead just three minutes later, making it 2-1. Kudus scored late on in the 87th minute to wrap up the three points, just as Ipswich were increasing the pressure on the West Ham goal in search of an equaliser. West Ham created the better chances as they had an xG of 0.98 from their 10 efforts, with six on target. While Ipswich had an xG of 0.79 from their 14 attempts, with four on target. West Ham's victory signs off a disappointing season for both sides, as the visitors had lofty ambitions at the start of the campaign but finished in the bottom half of the Premier League, while Ipswich were relegated back to the Championship after one season in the top flight.

17:45JUST WIDE! Clarke comes so close to making it level once again, but his effort is just wide of the goal. The winger received the ball wide left, halfway inside the West Ham half. He drove past the West Ham defenders, cutting inside towards the middle of the goal. As he reached the edge of the penalty area, he curled his shot towards goal. Unfortunately for him, he couldn’t get enough bend on it, and it goes just wide.

Ipswich Town vs West Ham United
17:06Ipswich will need to get a foot hold in the game and improve their possession if they want to turn this match around by full time. West Ham have held 60.9% of possession in the first half. The hosts will want to avoid making it nine home losses in a row with another defeat today but they have failed to win any of their last 30 matches when conceding first in the Premier League, since a victory over Tottenham Hotspur on 22nd December 2001. McKenna may have to work some magic to correct this stat before they move to the Championship next season.
Ipswich Town vs West Ham United
17:00West Ham go in at the interval with a 1-0 lead after a Ward-Prowse goal late on in the half. West Ham have dominated possession from the start but have failed to create any chances of note until their goal in the 43rd minute. Bowen anticipated the back pass from Morsy, and he intercepted the ball before passing it across the area to Ward-Prowse, who placed his effort into the corner of an empty net. The match has been starved of chances, with Ipswich creating the only other chance of the game in the 25th minute. Fabianski was forced into an excellent save, stretching to get his right hand to the shot, clawing Broadhead’s effort away from goal. The match has lacked any real chances, with West Ham only having an xG of 0.79 from their seven attempts, three of which have been on target. While Ipswich have an xG of 0.2 from their six attempts, with two of those on target.

16:36Dodgy moment from Fabianski. The Polish keeper got his feet in a right mess while in possession. Hirst continued his press and just could not get the desired challenge as he hassled Fabianski to win the ball and the keeper got the ball away before giving up a goal.
Ipswich Town vs West Ham United
16:34Fullkrug is claiming a penalty. His complaints fall on deaf ears as the referee ignores him and play continues. The German striker chased after a ball over the top of the Ipswich defence. It looked harmless as it seemed to drifting to the gloves of Walton; however, Fullkrug gave chase and O’Shea pulled on the West Ham striker to ensure the ball ended up with the keeper. Fullkrug hit the floor with the referee not believing their was enough contact to deem it a foul.

16:14The match to this point has lacked any real urgency, with both sides already knowing their fate for next season.
Ipswich Town vs West Ham United
16:09Scary moment for Ipswich. A pass across the box by Bowen looked relatively harmless as there was no West Ham striker in the vicinity to add the finish. However, a goal almost came about. Tuanzebe may have been too relaxed as he touched the ball back to his goalkeeper, who was not expecting the pass back from six yards. Palmer managed to react and clear it to safety.

Ipswich Town vs West Ham United
15:30The final game of the season has not been enjoyable for West Ham and their fans over the past few seasons, losing their last league match in the last three seasons. However, they will be confident today is the day to correct this record as they have lost just one of their last 17 top-flight games against Ipswich (W10 D6), going down 1-0 at Upton Park in March 2001. This is West Ham boss Graham Potter’s second visit to Ipswich Town as a manager, previously winning 1-0 with Swansea in April 2019.
Ipswich Town vs West Ham United
15:30Ipswich have already had their relegation confirmed from the Premier League; so, this is the last time we will see them in the top flight for at least a season. Ipswich will be hopeful of giving their fans a fifth win of the campaign and they will be confident of doing as they have won their final league game in three of the last four seasons (D1). In doing so Kieran McKenna’s side will bring to an end an unwanted stat, Ipswich have lost each of their last eight Premier League home games, their longest losing run at home in their league history.
