Ipswich Town target Sunderland duo Charlie Wyke and Josh Hawkes

Ipswich Town are interested in signing Charlie Wyke and Josh Hawkes, according to reports.

The EADT claims that Paul Cook is keen on bringing Sunderland's top goal scorer as well as former captain Max Power to the club.

Wyke is yet to commit to a new deal on Wearside and has been attracting a whole host of attention from clubs across the country and abroad.

The 28-year-old scored 31 goals in all competitions, with North East rivals Middlesbrough keen on taking Wyke back to his native Teesside.

The new Ipswich boss is also keen on reuniting with the recently released Power, who played under Cook at Wigan making 38 starts and 11 substitute appearances as Wigan won the League One title in 2017/18.

22-year-old Josh Hawkes is also on Ipswich's radar having enjoyed a stellar season for Sunderland's Under 23's.

The attacking midfielder, who can play centrally or in a wide role topped the Premier League 2 Division 2 scoring charts this season with 13 goals in 19 starts.
