Our article headlined “Cyclists ignore UK coronavirus lockdown rules as they ride together in the sun” (4/4/20) contained a prominent image of identifiable cyclists who were described as being in “close proximity”.
This was misleading as it suggested the cyclists pictured were breaking government guidelines.
In fact, those pictured were not in breach of social distancing guidelines at the time. This correction has been published following an upheld ruling by the Independent Press Standards Organisation.
