The race for the Orange and Purple Caps in IPL 2025 has kicked off with some stellar individual performances lighting up the early games. Hot on his heels is RR’s Dhruv Jurel, who smashed 70 off 35 balls in a valiant chase, averaging 70.00 with a strike rate of 200. SRH’s Travis Head also made a strong statement, hammering 67 at a blistering 216.12 strike rate, placing him third. On the bowling front, CSK’s Noor Ahmad takes an early lead in the Purple Cap standings with an outstanding 4/18 against MI. The Afghan spinner’s economy of 4.50 was equally impressive, choking the middle overs with precision.
He’s followed by three bowlers tied at three wickets each: Khaleel Ahmed (CSK), Krunal Pandya (RCB), and Vignesh Puthur (MI), all with similar figures. RR’s Tushar Deshpande, despite being on the losing side, also picked up 3 wickets but was more expensive.
