IPL 2023: Dog bite rules out Arjun Tendulkar from Lucknow Super Giants clash

NEW DELHI: Arjun Tendulkar, the talented Mumbai Indians fast bowler, was unable to take part in the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) due to an unfortunate incident involving a dog bite.

In a video released by LSG's Twitter handle LSG player Yudhvir Singh asked Arjun Tendulkar, 'How are you doing brother?' to which Arjun Tendulkar replied, "A dog bit me, a day before", while showing his bowling hand.

Arjun Tendulkar showcased his potential in the IPL by featuring in four matches for the MI, where he impressively claimed three wickets.

His most notable performance came against the Gujarat Titans, where he recorded figures of 1/9. However, following these four matches, he found himself excluded from the MI's playing XI, resulting in him being benched for subsequent matches.

Akash Madhwal and Kumar Kartikeya in the team have left no room for Arjun to force his way back into the team.

The Indian all-rounder, who shifted base to Goa to play Ranji Trophy cricket last season, was bought by five-time IPL winners MI for Rs 30 lakh in the IPL 2023 auction.
