IPL 2023: Cricketing fraternity happy with progress of Pandya brothers, says Irfan Pathan

NEW DELHI: Defending champions Gujarat Titans will face Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL 2023 clash in Ahmedabad on Sunday. It will also be a test of wits between the Pandya brothers -- Hardik and Krunal -- when the two sides face each other.

Krunal, who has has led the Baroda team in domestic cricket, was handed the LSG captaincy duties in the absence of regular skipper KL Rahul.

Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan said on Saturday that the cricket fraternity is really happy with the progress of Pandya brothers.

Speaking on Star Sports' Cricket Live, Irfan said, "For the first time in IPL "It will be a brother vs brother contest as captain in IPL. The cricket fraternity is happy with the way the Pandyas have progressed but when GT is playing at home, it will be hungry to win. Then brother will not remain brother. Then, they will be a member of an opposing team."
