IPL 2023: Bhuvneshwar hopes Brook will continue run spree

HYDERABAD: Stand-in captain Bhuvneshwar Kumar said Sunrisers Hyderabad were excited by the looks of Harry Brook and how the Englishman has been shaping up since he joined the team.

The 24-year-old is a T20 World Cup winner already and was acquired by SRH at the 2022 auction for Rs 13.25 crore.

The Yorkshireman has been scoring runs by the ton in Test cricket and SRH are as excited about him as they are about playing in front of the home crowd after three seasons.

"He's looking solid," said Bhuvneshwar on Saturday.

"For someone who comes with the reputation of not playing spin well, he's looked totally different. Playing in front of our fans is very exciting. We want to put smiles on their faces with our performances. " Bhuvneshwar also said the impact player will sort out their middle order woes.

"A team on paper doesn't matter if you don't play well at the ground. Also having that impact player will help us bring that extra batter or bowler and the middle order issue will be sorted out," he said.
