IPL 2021: Who said what after Virat Kohli's RCB beat Rohit Sharma's MI

As soon as Virat Kohli announced that he would be stepping down as India's T20I captain a short while ago, most fans began to conjecture who India's next international captain can be in the shortest format. The leading contender seems to be Rohit Sharma. One of the big things that work in Rohit's favour is, of course, the fact that he has taken the Mumbai Indians to a record five IPL titles.

On Sunday, however, it was Virat Kohli who emerged as the winning captain as Royal Challengers Bangalore, still eyeing that elusive maiden IPL title, clashed with Rohit's defending champions, the Mumbai Indians.

RCB pulled off a huge 54-run win to further strengthen their chances of making the playoffs. Mathematically speaking, RCB now have a 94.9% chance of finishing in the top four after the league stage. Mumbai, meanwhile, are in seventh spot currently with 8 points after 10 matches. Both teams have four matches left to play.
