iPhone users might be tempted to cancel their Amazon Prime memberships this week

iPhone users might be tempted to cancel their Amazon Prime memberships this week, following rumours of a rival Apple subscription launching tomorrow.

Rumours suggest that Apple could launch a subscription called Apple One at its ‘Time Flies’ event tomorrow.

9To5Mac has discovered several references to Apple One in the latest beta for iOS 14, including functions like ‘Cancel Apple One’ and ‘Keep Apple One’.

The code also contains an explanation, reading: “You can unsubscribe from Apple One and keep only what you want", hinting a new bundle could be on its way.

According to Bloomberg, Apple will announce Apple One at the event tomorrow, where it’s also expected to launch the iPhone 12, the iPad Air 4 and the Apple Watch 6.

In terms of pricing, Bloomberg suggests that customers will have a range of options available, starting with an entry-level bundle combining Apple Music and Apple TV+.

It explained: “There will be different tiers, according to the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private plans.

"A basic package will include Apple Music and Apple TV+, while a more expensive variation will have those two services and the Apple Arcade gaming service.

“The next tier will add Apple News+, followed by a pricier bundle with extra iCloud storage for files and photos.”

As always, Apple is keeping tight-lipped about tomorrow’s event, which will begin at 18:00 BST.
