iPhone trick lets you take a screenshot by tapping the back of your phone - here's how

Whether it’s a hilarious meme or a meaningful message, there are a range of instances where the screenshot feature comes in handy on your smartphone.

For iPhones with Face ID, this usually involves pressing the Side Button and the Volume Up button at the same time, while for those with older models, it involves pressing the Side button and the Home button at the same time.

However, Apple has included a new option in its iOS 14 update that allows you to take a screenshot by tapping on the back of your iPhone.

The feature, called Back Tap can be customised to perform a range of actions, including screenshots, opening the Control Centre, or enabling Accessibility features.

Unsurprisingly, many iPhone fans are absolutely loving the handy new feature, with many taking to Twitter to discuss it.

One user said: “So you’re telling me all I gotta do is double tap the back of my phone to take a screenshot now? Yeah iOS 14 is on to something here.”

Another added: “Being able to double-tap on the back of the iPhone to screenshot is one of the coolest features of iOS 14.”

Thankfully, Back Tap is very easy to set up - here’s our step-by-step guide.
