It’s something that most iPhone users use everyday, but the iPhone keyboard actually has several hidden tricks that you might not know about.
One of the handiest shortcuts involves adding full stops at the end of sentences, and will transform the way you type longer messages.
To use it, double tap on the space bar. This will automatically add a full-stop (or ‘period’ for any American readers).
Best of all, the shortcut will also automatically capitalise the next letter you type, making writing the next sentence even easier!
The shortcut is enabled by default, so you should be able to use it straight away.
However, to confirm it’s active, go to ‘Settings’, then ‘General’ and ‘Keyboard.’ Make sure the toggle next to ‘Auto-Capitalisation’ and ‘.’ are on.
It might sound simple, but it’s an absolute game-changer when it comes to typing out long messages - you can thank me later.
