They’re some of the most popular smartphones around the world, and if you have an iPhone, it’s likely you have the basic functions down.
However, iPhones actually have a number of sneaky tricks and features that could make day-to-day tasks much easier.
The latest trick doing the rounds on social media makes it easier to copy and paste text, and to retrieve any text you’ve accidentally deleted.
TikTok user George Reilly posted a video of the trick in action, writing: “Cool keyboard tricks!”
He explained: “If you’re typing something and you accidentally delete it, you can use three fingers to swipe to the left, and it will undo!”
Meanwhile, if you’d like to copy text, you can use three fingers again, but simply pinch the screen.
Then, to paste, use three fingers again, and pinch outwards!
Several TikTok users have replied to the video, expressing their delight at the simple, yet useful tricks.
One user replied: “This is so useful. I always accidentally delete my notes,” while another wrote: “It actually works! Omg! It also works in Messages.”
Mr Reilly’s video comes shortly after another iPhone user discovered a trick that lets you set a timer directly from the home screen.
To quickly set a timer on your iPhone, simply open the control panel by swiping down from the top left corner of the screen.
Tap and hold the clock button in the bottom row of the screen.
A column will appear on your screen. Swipe your finger up and down to set the duration of the timer, ranging from one minute to two hours.
When you’re happy with the duration, tap Start, and the timer will begin!
