iPhone 11 and Nokia 3310 dropped from helicopter - and you'll be surprised which survives

With prices starting at £729, most iPhone 11 owners can probably think of nothing worse than dropping their smartphone from a helicopter.

But three brave YouTubers have done just that, in the hopes of seeing how resilient Apple ’s 2019 smartphone really is.

The YouTubers, who run the channel ‘How Ridiculous’, dropped the iPhone 11 alongside the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Nokia 3310 from a helicopter while it was 1,000ft above the ground.

The team started with the iPhone 11, which was fitted with a transparent Apple phone case.

Amazingly, after hurtling to the ground from the helicopter, the smartphone survived the drop, albeit with a cracked back.

One of the YouTubers said: “It’s on! It’s broken on the back, but I cannot believe it’s working, that’s insane.”

Next, the Samsung Galaxy S10, also fitted with a case, was thrown from the helicopter. Despite wearing a case, the smartphone’s camera was smashed to smithereens as it hit the ground.

Finally, the team tested the Nokia 3310 - Nokia’s retro smartphone that first came out in 2000.

Living up to its reputation as the ‘unbreakable phone’, the Nokia 3310 was unfazed by the drop, and was fully intact when the YouTubers found it.

The YouTubers were even able to play a quick game of Snake on the retro phone!

They added: “That is a phenomenal result. 1,000 feet. A round of applause for people who make phones.”
