Iowa QB commit Deuce Hogan calls out Ohio State

Duece Hogan, the Iowa Hawkeyes 2020 commit, called out Ohio State which — given the two team’s recent matchups — may not have been the brightest move.

Although the Hawkeyes took the most recent game in the series, the Buckeyes have won three of the four, the two teams only meetings since 2009. It turns out that since Iowa is in the East and OSU in the West. they aren’t forced to play each other frequently.

However, they would if Iowa were good enough to get to the Big Ten Championship Game. But, they it isn’t because the Hawkeyes tend to choke away games against lesser competition after experiencing a big win.

As for Hogan, the Texas-native is a three-star recruit and chose the Hawkeyes over notable teams like Boston College, Baylor and Georgia.

Apparently, he thinks his abilities and dominance will make the Buckeyes defensive coordinator “pull his hair out.”

The Hawkeyes have been respectable at best over the last few seasons, and for Ohio State, remembering that 2017 loss will be enough to light a spark in them. There’s no need for extra incentive to give their all.

I guess we’ll all see what happens in 2020 when these two conference rivals finally play another scheduled game. By the way, that game will be in Ohio Stadium.
