iPhones will be getting a huge update later this year, Apple has announced.
iOS 13 will bring a whole host of features to the iPhone and iPad, including a redesigned dark mode.
And the new software will arrive this autumn, the company said at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. In practise, that will almost certainly be in September, around the same time as the release of the new iPhones.
But anyone impatient to get hold of the new features will be able to join Apple's beta programme, and get hold of the software before it is fully released.
That will be pushed out in July. That might bring with it bugs and Apple advises people against joining on their main phone.
Users can sign up for those betas on Apple's website now, though they will not get access to them until next month.
Developers have access to the software straight away. That is available to anyone registered in Apple's official programme, and not the general public.
The new version of Mac OS will also be part of the beta programme, and will open to users later at the same time.
Apple made the announcement during its WWDC conference, during which it revealed a whole host of updates.
