Iod West Midlands chief steps down from the role

The head of the Institute of Directors in the West Midlands is leaving the post after more than four years.

Calum Nisbet is stepping down from the business body which represents senior executives across the region.

Mr Nisbet described his time as "four and a half amazing years" in a social media post.

He added: "It was a privilege to have held the post, to have got to know and represent our fantastic members and to have worked with such an inspiring group of people in the Midlands and beyond.

"Thanks to everyone for their friendship and support, in particular my two regional chairs Jason Wouhra and Brian Hall and to our current deputy Jackie Hendley.

"The region has great civic and business leaders and is well placed to recover from the challenges we all currently face. Wishing you all the best of luck."
