Invicta FC returned Friday with another one-night tournament as flyweights took center stage in the promotion’s Phoenix Series 2 at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.
Quarterfinal and semifinal bouts were one round, while the final was a scheduled three-round fight.
In the end, Miranda Maverick walked away the tournament champion – and she scored a measure of revenge in the process, defeating UFC veteran DeAnna Bennett with a third-round submission to atone for a unanimous decision loss to her earlier this year.
