Investment platform LVX launches Elvix, an AI tool for private market investors

Early-stage angel investment platform LVX Ventures (formerly LetsVenture), has launched Elvix, an AI-powered platform aimed at providing continuous, intelligent feedback on investments.

The system is built on more than 450,000 documents collected over 12 years, including pitch decks, investment committee memos, shareholder agreements, investor queries, portfolio reports, etc. Elvix is designed to help investors evaluate startups, track portfolio risks, and benchmark companies using AI-driven analytics, LVX said in a statement.

“Private market investors are often writing cheques of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh or more, with significantly less information than a public market investor deploying a fraction of that amount,” Shanti Mohan, founder and CEO of LVX, told ET.

The launch comes at a time when domestic capital is playing a larger role in startup and private market investments, with high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices, and alternative investment funds (AIFs) increasingly seeking exposure to pre-IPO companies, startup secondaries, and private equity (PE) opportunities.

Founded in 2013, LVX is backed by Accel, Chiratae Ventures, Nandan Nilekani, the late Ratan Tata, Rishad Premji, Mohandas Pai, and Sharad Sharma, among others.

In November 2025, IIT Madras, in collaboration with YNOS, an early-stage venture intelligence platform, had launched Startups for All, an initiative along similar lines, which hosts data on over 275,000 startups, 15,000 angel investors, and 5,500 VC firms. The platform allows access to investor recommendations for startups looking to raise funds, comparative analytics for growth and financing, downloadable investor reports, and tools for outreach.

Mohan added that Elvix is designed to address information gaps in private investing, where many angel investors still rely largely on founder pitches and instinct for decision-making.

The platform uses proprietary Ai technology to help investors analyse startup opportunities, track portfolio performance, benchmark companies against peers, and assess potential risks using natural language.

LVX claims Elvix can evaluate investment opportunities across more than 320 signals before human review, generate investment memos, monitor portfolio risks, and identify exit opportunities. The platform can also simulate how external developments such as interest-rate changes, regulatory actions, or geopolitical events could impact portfolio companies.

“This dataset reflects the institutional memory of a platform that has funded over 715 companies and deployed more than $230 million across early-stage and growth investments,” Mohan said.

She added that the platform goes beyond summarisation and is designed to provide “decision intelligence”. “It can answer questions like ‘How would the Iran war affect this investment?’, ‘Has this founder delivered on the initial promise?’ and ‘What is the quality of investor communication from this founder?’,” Mohan noted.

The system continuously ingests live market data and relates it to the context of private markets. Investors can access the platform by paying a subscription fee, said LVX.

Mohan explained that the company’s longer-term vision is to build India’s first small language model trained exclusively on private market data. Such a model could help investors analyse founder quality, governance practices, deal structures, and exit timing with greater precision.
