Investigations continue after 'large number' of cannabis plants seized

Avon and Somerset Police have released an update to the investigation which saw a "large number" of cannabis plants seized from a property last year.

The suspected cannabis plants were discovered at a premises on Bath Hill in Keynsham on Wednesday, July 28.

It was reported that due to the scale of the scene, Western Power was called out because the electrical supply to the property had been interfered with.

An update provided by Avon and Somerset Police today (January 17) confirmed that a man was arrested in connection with this inquiry.

However, he has since been released under investigation and enquiries are continuing.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “Enquiries continue following the discovery of a large number of suspected cannabis plants at a premise on Bath Hill, Keynsham on Wednesday 28 July 2021.

“A man in his thirties who was arrested in connection with this inquiry has been released under investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting crime reference 5221171811.”
