Investigation underway after a man damages door in Gateshead Interchange

An investigation has been launched after a man damaged a door in Gateshead Interchange.

Officers received a report of a man who kicked and damaged the door of the interchange centre on July 12 at around 12.30am.

Police are now trying to locate the person responsible and are asking for help from the public.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "As part of their enquiries, police have now identified a man who they would like to speak to. He was seen in the area at the time of the offence and officers believe he could assist the investigation.

"The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website or by calling 101 quoting crime number NP-20210827-0426."
