Investigation under way after safe containing £6,000 was stolen from Blyth home

Police want to speak to this woman after a burglary in Blyth .

Officers received a report of a burglary at an address on Alwinton Court, Cowpen, at around 10.50am on August 5.

Police say a safe containing £6,000 was taken from the property.

Enquiries to identify those responsible are ongoing and the force has released an image of a woman they wish to speak to.

She was in the area at the time of the burglary and may be able to assist police with their investigation.

The woman, or anyone who knows her, is asked to call Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference number 099266E/19.

Alternatively people are asked to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
