Three women and two men suffered a range of injuries as a result of the alleged attack.

Enquiries are ongoing into the incidents and police have now identified a man who was in the club at the time of the offence.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "The man, who has a distinctive neck tattoo, may have information that can assist officers with their investigation.

"The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of their website or by calling 101 quoting log 47 250721.

"Alternatively, you can email 3243@northumbria.pnn.police.uk."
