Investigation launched as fan films himself sneaking dangerous view of Fulham vs Leeds United

An investigation has been launched over a social media video showing a fan gaining a view of Leeds United's victory over Fulham via a construction site on Friday evening.

The Whites ran out 2-1 winners in the game, ensuring they went into the international break on a high thanks to goals from Patrick Bamford and Raphinha.

As has been a common sight this season, the game was played behind closed doors due to the current coronavirus restrictions - although one fan went to dangerous lengths to watch it.

A video posted on TikTok, purporting to be from a Leeds fan, has shown someone getting a view of the match from the construction site next to Fulham's Craven Cottage ground.

In the video, the fan can be seen getting a glimpse of the action from a construction site amid the ongoing development to the Riverside Stand at Craven Cottage before climbing to a dangerous height to get an aerial view of the match.

The fan gained the view from a part of the development area which is outside of the stadium, meaning they did not gain access to Craven Cottage itself.

Fulham's Riverside Stand is currently being redeveloped, with the stadium's capacity set to rise from 25,700 to 29,600, with community amenities also set to be included in the new building, including a rooftop swimming pool.

An investigation is understood to be taking place over the incident.

Whilst the fan did not gain access to Craven Cottage itself, Fulham are aware of the video.

Buckingham Group Contracting Ltd, responsible for the construction where the individual gained access from part of the Riverside Development, said the incident is being taken seriously but declined to comment further.
