Gardaí are investigating a suspicious approach to a woman that was made in Belturbet, Cavan.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon and it's reported that the woman, aged in her 20s, was approached by the occupant of a van, close to the railway station.
Local reports state : "A grey van with roof racks was seen in the area at the time" and that "gardaí are appealing for people who were in the area between 4.30 and 6pm yesterday to get in touch."
Speaking about the incident, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating an incident involving a female, aged in her 20s which occurred in Belturbet, Co Cavan on the 6th December 2020 at approximately 5:00 pm.
"No further information is available at this time.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
