Police are investigating after a man died at a home in Hartcliffe.
Officers were called to reports of the death of a man at the property in Bishport Avenue shortly before 4pm on October 26.
UPDATE: Man arrested as murder inquiry launched
An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson said: "We were called by ambulance who attended an incident for a man who was reported to be unwell – due to a possible suspected drugs overdose.
"He was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene.
"The death is being treated as unexplained and a cordon has been put in place, pending an examination of the scene by crime scene investigators."
Police enquiries into the incident are continuing to establish exactly what happened.
