In a shocking video of the incident, two males are seen throwing wooden bar stools at each other while a female flees the scene to cover.

The males continue to fight each other before they fall over onto the pavement.

One of the men, wearing a blue tracksuit, remains on top of the male, who was wearing a dark grey top and light grey bottoms, as they continue the altercation.

A male wearing a grey top and grey shorts then comes onto the scene brandishing a knife in his right hand.

He appears to stab one of the two men fighting before a bystander tries to intervene and tries to hold the man brandishing the knife back.

The male brandishing the knife then appears to stab the bystander in the left leg and then appears to stab the man wearing the dark grey top in the leg.

A female is heard saying, "He’s after stabbing him."

Gardai confirmed two people were injured in the incident.

In a statement, An Garda Siochana said: "Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault that occurred on Liffey Street, Dublin 1 on Sunday 9th April.
