Investigation launched after sudden death of woman in North Belfast

A probe has been launched after the sudden death of a woman in North Belfast.

Her body was found in the Ligoniel Road area on Friday evening.

Police in Northern Ireland said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, but it is not being treated as suspicious, Belfast Live reports.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a woman in the Ligoniel Road area of north Belfast yesterday evening, Friday January 3.

"A post mortem will be carried out in due course however, at this time, the death is not being treated as suspicious."
