An investigation has been launched after a Motherwell high school was targeted by porn hackers.
The official Twitter feed of Taylor High was ambushed by trolls who posted hardcore images on the site.
The steamy images were taken from an adult website and show close-ups of a bald man and dark haired woman having sex along with pictures of another naked women.
The x-rated screengrabs triggered a host of replies from Twitter users.
The school’s Twitter account has now been removed entirely.
A council spokesperson said: “We immediately took action as soon as we were made aware that a school social media account had been compromised and offensive material posted. The inappropriate material was removed and we apologise for any offence caused.
“We have taken immediate steps to investigate the security breach and will install further appropriate security measures.”
