A Nexus employee was attacked by a member of the public in broad daylight.
The staff member was assaulted at Monument Metro Station in Newcastle at around 3pm on January 27.
Police said the employee was punched but was not seriously injured.
Northumbria Police has now released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
He was seen in the station at the time of the assault and could have information that can assist officers with their investigation.
The man, or anyone who recognises him, is asked to contact the police via the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website or by calling 101 quoting log 558 270121.
