Investigation launched after man found injured in the street near Shettleston

An investigation has been launched after a man was found injured on a street in the east end of the city.

Emergency services rushed to Amulree Street in the Shettleston area around 5am on Saturday morning.

Police remain at the scene while investigations into how the man came to be injured continue.

Eyewitnesses have reported the street being closed off and officers speaking to anyone leaving. The police dog unit is also on the scene.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Officers attended at Amulree Street in Glasgow at 5am this morning after a man was found injured.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full set of circumstances."
