An investigation is underway after a man in his 20s was shot twice in the legs, in Coolock, north Dublin.
Gardai say that the shooting occurred at Belcamp Crescent, Coolock, at 7.30pm on Friday night.
The young man, who sustained two gunshot wounds to his legs was taken by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital.
His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
According to gardai, witnesses reported seeing a silver Volkswagen Boro pull up beside the victim, before a passenger got out of this car and shot him twice with a handgun.
There is no description of the gunman, who it is understood fled the scene in the Volkswagen Boro.

Gardaí are carrying out a technical examination at the scene and house to house enquiries have begun in the area.
A Garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are investigating a shooting incident at Belcamp Crescent at 7.30pm on 5th April 2019.
"A man in his 20s was taken by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital where he is being treated for gunshot wounds to his leg.
"The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
"Witnesses report that a silver Volkswagen Boro pull up beside the victim and a passenger got out of this car and shot the victim twice with a handgun.
