An investigation has been launched following the death of a patient at a mental health unit.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board confirmed that the death occurred at the Ty Llewelyn medium secure unit on the site of Bryn y Neuadd Hospital in, Llanfairfechan, Conwy.
The health board said it would not comment further while investigations are carried out.

Iain Wilkie, director of mental health and learning disability services, said: "I can confirm that, sadly, there has been a death at Ty Llywelyn which is being investigated in line with health board procedures.
"We will not be providing any further information at this stage."
Ty Llywelyn is a 25-bed unit that provides treatment and rehabilitation for people with serious mental health problems who have come into contact with criminal justice services.
Plaid Cymru’s spokesperson for health and care, Rhun ap Iorwerth MS, said: "My heart goes out everyone affected by these most recent events. Whilst the investigation is ongoing, Betsi Cadwaladr senior management must address the questions that will naturally be raised by this latest incident.
"The negative impact on public perception, following reports of multiple patient deaths in other mental health units, shouldn't be underestimated. Betsi Cadwaladr leadership team must provide reassurance that the investigation will be swift to conclude, and transparent."
